About the Progress Club

The Progress Club of Miami was formed in 1965 by a small nucleus of Miami's leading executives. Their goal was to stimulate and promote the exchange of business among members and through contacts with each other. The result is an exchange of business in the wider business community.

The Progress Club has grown to be an organization, putting members to work with and for each other and in our business community in general. Direct business leads and referrals have resulted in over $3,000,000.00 in annual revenues for our members as a result of their membership in our organization.

What makes the Progress Club so unique?

The Progress club is unique in that there is only one member firm or company from each business classification. Also, our members consist of business owners and top level executives which guarantees fast and high quality results.

By limiting the size and category of our membership firms chosen to participate we are assured that the time they invest in our activities will be productive and well spent.

Who is eligible for membership?

Membership is by invitation only and limited to only one member firm for each business classification.

After recommendation by one of our members, the prospective firm is carefully screened, assuring that membership will be extended only to those firms meeting the highest standards of professional excellence and business ethics.

Who are the members of the club?

Our club's members consist of top executives of a firm who are appointed as principal and must also select an alternate to act as its representative.

How does this network work?

A Wednesday morning breakfast meetings a member firm presents itself to the membership, we call this trade talk

Two weeks later in a Wednesday evening evening, an open house is held and the member firm shows off their company, facilities, and personnel.

Through regular attendance at these working sessions, practical yet high-level working relationships are established. Leads are exchanged, business opportunities are identified, and members help themselves and each other by working together.

Only when all members understands what everyone else does can there begin an exchange of business.

How much is it to join the club?

There is a one time application fee of $225.00 that must accompany your application. There is also a monthly promotional fee of $75.00 + $225 quarterly in advanced.

What responsibilities would I have as a member?

As a member one must attend at least 50% of club functions many of which can be attended "virtually". One must also participate in a professional and ethical manner along with providing members every possible preference in business transactions and acting promptly on leads and referrals.

What type of events does the club hold?

The club has weekly breakfast meetings usually three times a month, a Bowling Tournament, Family & Company Picnic, Founder's Day Gala, Holiday Appreciation Breakfast and a Social Nite. We use these events as a portal to networking.
